The Prison Support
At Arise, Love & Serve Africa, our prison ministry focuses on restoring hope and dignity to inmates. As part of our fourth pillar, we provide dietary support by offering nutritious foods like green vegetables, dodo, and sukuma wiki to improve their well-being.
We also advocate for justice by supporting inmates involved in non-criminal cases, guiding them towards non-custodial sentences and promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Our rehabilitation programs are designed to empower inmates with skills for a brighter future. Through initiatives like tailoring, carpentry, shoemaking, and crafts, we help them prepare for reintegration into society as self-reliant individuals.
It is in our plan that the organization champions a ‘half way home’, that should facilitate a turning point for the inmates who have taken time in jail and come to society, relate well before they are exposed to the communities, they believe they had wronged. In so doing, a warm and receptive landing environment is safe and prepared to receive them.
This ministry is rooted in compassion and the belief that everyone deserves a second chance. Together, we champion transformation, while ensuring that prison is not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in a person’s life.
